Philanthropy in the 21st century

Cheviot Asset Management hosted an event in May 2010 for philanthropists, professional advisers and community foundations to look at philanthropy in the 21st century. Despite the new coalition government emphasising the importance of encouraging charitable giving and philanthropy by supporting it with government funding, it still remains unclear how much funding will be made available or how it will be spent. It is clear however that the role of philanthropy in this age of new politics is more significant than ever. Below are short extracts from each of the key speakers.
