What are community foundations?

Managed and delivered through Community Foundation Network

For professional advisers

Community foundations are here to support you and your clients on their philanthropic journeys. Our purpose is to work long-term to improve the quality of life, resilience, strength and vitality of communities in the UK. Our promise and passion is to connect clients with causes, enabling them to achieve far more than they ever could by themselves.

Apart from offering a popular vehicle for giving which is low on cost and administration (the Donor Advised Fund) community foundations also work with clients who have existing charitable trusts, and who need extra help in finding good causes to fund.

Community foundations are great places for new donors to learn about philanthropy and some of the resources that are out there to support them in their giving. CFN can provide tools to help clients understand more about their personal style of giving and their investment preferences - try the philanthropy wheel®.
